We will go to somewhere nice but not too expensive! The After-Hours Vatican Tour Taking a private tour through the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel when they are closed to the general public is considered by many as one of the top ten things you should do before your die.
Certainly even those who have visited the museums many times long for a chance to go around at a leisurely pace and really get the opportunity to appreciate all the treasures on display.
Another great advantage of our after hours private tour is that there is no waiting in line. No hassle. No Crowds. You get to see the Vatican in the peace and quiet it deserves. Take your time looking at all the detail and drink in the experience.
This is an opportunity of a life time! I have organised a series of private tours for small, select groups of people. Each group will be accompanied by a guide and they will have the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel virtually to themselves for 2 hours. Cost €250 per person, all included.
Tour includes:
- Upper Galleries
- Candelabra
- Tapestries
- Maps
- Raphael's Rooms
- Sistine Chapel
If you would like to join one of our groups contact me (helen@italywithus.com) immediately.
If you can't make our after-hours tour an alternative would be our 3-hour private tour of St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican museums and the Sistine chapel - you will have your own guide and not stand in line for any length of time. Again you can contact Helen directly if you would like to book for this, or any other of our fantactic private tours. Vasari Corridor, Florence The Vasari Corridor at the Uffizi has been mainly closed to the general public for years. I have been privileged to gain access to this rare site to organize private tours which enable you to walk in the footsteps of Cosimo I. The corridor contains great art work only a few have been able to enjoy. Included in this exclusive collection are self-portraits by some of the most famous artists dating from the 16th century - Rembrandt, Rubens, Giorgio Vasari, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Gian Lorenzo, Correggio, Pietro da Cortona John Singer Sargent, to name but a few.
The tour begins when you meet your guide at the Uffizi . She will provide unique insights into the collection and make your visit there very special. After 90 minutes we will leave the museum and walk slowly along the Vasari corridor for the next hour. Your guide will discuss the art, architecture and history of the corridor and the Medicis. We leave you at the Boboli Gardens (admission not included) to wander and enjoy on your own.
Price €950 for an individual private tour (all included) or $130 per person for group private tour (max 30 people) - this includes the entrance fee to the Uffizi.
This special tour is available on request for Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. Contact me directly by email - Helen Donegan
