The furniture you will find in your room, or scattered throughout the house has been handed down through the family - you are likely to find a chest of drawers that belonged to Alessandra, Angelucci Pambuffetti’s mother in your room, or a side-table that belonged to her grandmother in the hall. The family heirlooms provide a feeling of intimacy without compromising the superb 4-star service or compromising your privacy.
The food you will eat is from recipes handed down from mother to daughter for many generations. Today it is prepared in a modern, lighter, healthier version developed by Alessandra herself. She started cooking when she was eight and has never lost her passion for preparing and sharing her food - a living part of her culture. Christmas is a very special time in Umbria, with unique dishes that have come down the centuries and are only cooked at this time of year. They are prepared with love, laughter and happiness. Enjoy visits to Assisi, Montefalco and Foligno, Cooking Lessons in the kitchen; or relax over drinks in the lounge or watch movies on cable TV in your "room with a view". You will be spoiled and pampered, and royally fed. No stress, no dishes, no cleaning up! You can relax in front of the fire, lounge in the reading room, or you can venture with us out into the hill towns, alive with the festive spirit of Christmas.

The Villa Pambuffetti is an elegant and beautiful 4-star country house hotel, run by the Pambuffetti family, who are well known for the warmth, hospitality and generosity of spirit they extend to their visitors. They delight in their villa on a hill and love to share it with their guests. (Even the gardener stops to say hello.) Over the centuries the villa has known many incarnations - as a family home and as a place where the leading scientists, poets, writers, thinkers of the day would come. Today it has been modernised for luxurious comfort while still retaining its ambience as a large, welcoming Umbrian farmhouse.
Villa Pambuffetti is set in a beautiful park, in the picture-perfect medieval Umbrian hill-town of Montefalco. Most of the produce you will eat is grown on the property. From the dining room windows you will see the olive groves that produced the virgin olive oil on your table, and the vines that produce the Sagrantino wine in your glass. The bread and pasta is made in the kitchens, the vegetables grown in the gardens; the jams, dried apples, figs and grape (dried in the wood-oven), come from the orchards too.
